Launching the RIPAT approach in Dar es Salaam

Monday 11th March a press meeting was held in Dar es Salaam hosted jointly by the Danish Rockwool Foundation and the Royal Danish Embassy in Tanzania.

At the press meeting the Rockwool Foundation presented documentation on the impact of the RIPAT approach in the book Farmers' Choice i.e. ‘what came out of the project' and ‘how and why did it happen'. The Rockwool Foundation also presented practical knowledge for use by organizations wishing to apply the RIPAT model. The RIPAT Manual was published which describes step-by-step how a project should be implemented in order to obtain the same good results, so that the Ministry of Agriculture in Tanzania and other stakeholders in both Tanzania and, more generally, in sub-Saharan Africa have the opportunity to plan and implement similar agricultural projects. After the press meeting a seminar was held on the concept to broadening the perspective of RIPAT.

The Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Cooperatives, Mr. Mohammed Muya received a copy of the two publications from the Board Chairman of the Rockwool Foundation Mr. Tom Kähler.
